Botticelli au Musée Jacquemart-André
From 10 September 2021 to 24 January 2022, the Jacquemart-André museum will be showing works by Botticelli.
Botticelli was born in Florence in the 15th century, under the Medici dynasty and at the dawn of the Renaissance.
Botticelli worked alongside Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael.
It was in the heart of a city in the throes of cultural upheaval that he created some of the most legendary works of the period. From The Birth of Venus to the Allegory of Spring, not forgetting the paintings in the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican.
In the sublime rooms of this Parisian mansion, visitors can discover Botticelli’s artistic development, from his beginnings in Filippo Lippi’s studio to his consecration.
